This walkthrough makes a short vertical video from a single prompt.
Step 1 — Open Text-to-Video
From the Studio or Tools, open Text-to-Video. It's the leanest path: a prompt, a model, a render.
Step 2 — Write a visual prompt
Describe what's on screen — the scene, subject, lighting, camera. Keep on-screen words out of the prompt (Krex AI adds captions and branding separately).
"Cozy morning flat-lay of a coffee bag on a wooden table, soft window light, slow push-in."
Step 3 — Pick aspect ratio + model
- Aspect ratio —
9:16for TikTok/Reels/Shorts,16:9for YouTube. - Model — leave the default for a fast, cheap render; higher-tier models cost more credits and may need a paid plan.
Step 4 — Add a voiceover (optional)
Turn on AI voiceover and type a short script. Krex AI generates the audio and burns in karaoke captions timed to the words.
Step 5 — Render + download
Generate, watch the progress, and your clip appears in Projects. Download it, or schedule it straight to your platforms.
Tips
- Short prompts that name one clear action beat long, busy ones.
- Re-roll cheaply on the default model, then re-render your favorite on a higher-tier model.
- Save a winning look as a brand preset so future renders match it.
