Resize & Reframe

Quickly resize or reframe an image to 9:16, 1:1, or 16:9 for different platforms while keeping the subject in frame.

Resize & Reframe adapts an image to the aspect ratio a platform expects. It changes the shape of the frame while keeping your subject where it belongs.

What it does

You pick a target aspect ratio, such as 9:16 for vertical feeds, 1:1 for square posts, or 16:9 for wide formats, and Krex AI reframes the image to match. The subject stays in view so you don't end up with a cut-off product or a centered crop that loses the point of the shot. It's the quick way to repurpose one image across platforms.

How to use it

  1. Open Resize & Reframe and upload the image you want to adapt.
  2. Choose a target aspect ratio: 9:16, 1:1, or 16:9.
  3. Confirm the subject stays in frame in the preview.
  4. Adjust the framing if you want the subject positioned differently.
  5. Save the reframed image and repeat for any other ratios you need.

Tips

  • Reframe a single source image into all three ratios to cover every platform at once.
  • Check the preview before saving so the subject isn't clipped at the edges.
  • If reframing would crop too tightly, use AI Expand (Outpaint) to add room instead.
  • Reframe after staging so your finished scene is sized for each destination.
